So forkin’ tasty.

Welcome to Forkin' Tasty, a blog that officially came into existence during the 2020 pandemic—though let's be real, it's been marinating in my dreams for far longer than that. I've long been smitten with the magical world of food, entranced by the way flavors waltz together in a mouthwatering dance that somehow stirs the soul.

But here's the twist: My love affair with food hasn't always been the fairy tale you'd expect. Sometimes, it was more like an angsty teen drama. I battled with overeating and binge eating since high school. The food was my emotional security blanket, my comfort, and my shield—sometimes serving as a friend, but often as a foe.

Navigating my mid-20s now, the struggle is still real, but it's one I'm committed to winning. A recent endometriosis diagnosis served as a wake-up call to really focus on nutrition. For me, this means choosing to fuel my body with food that's not just clean and nutritious but also lip-smackingly delicious.

So what can you expect from Forkin' Tasty? Think guilt-free goodness that your tastebuds and body will both love. And hey, if you're also fighting the good fight against endometriosis, you've found a kindred spirit. That said, don't be surprised if you come across the occasional indulgent recipe bursting with cheese and carbs—after all, life's too short to skip the good stuff, and moderation is key.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for being here. For reading my ramblings and sampling my culinary creations, you're making this small-town Kentucky girl's dream come true.

Now go on and create something forkin’ tasty!
