Steakhouse Revival Sandwich
RECIPE
Slice the steak as thin as you'd like, along with the green pepper and red onion.
Heat a non-stick pan over medium-high heat. Drizzle some olive oil into the pan, and sauté the veggies with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Once they are caramelized, remove from the pan and set aside.
Add the steak slices to the pan and a few dashes of your steak marinade. (Since the steak is already cooked from your leftovers, you're just reheating it. I love to use Dale's on anything beef-related.) Reheat to your liking, then remove from the pan.
While the steak is reheating, butter one side of each slice of bread.
On medium heat, place one slice of bread - butter side down - in the pan. Layer your sandwich with steak, veggies, and Swiss cheese. Top it off with the other slice of bread - butter side up. Let it sit for a minute so the cheese starts to melt and the bottom bread gets toasty.
When it's as toasted as it'll get on that side, flip the sandwich so now the top slice is on the bottom, toasting away.
Once you see the cheese melting and sticking to both sides of the bread, and there's a golden-brown toast to both sides, your sandwich is done!
Remove from heat, slice in half, and pair it with a side of chips, a pickle, or a side salad. Enjoy!
